Tributes

Our mother was a Christian woman; this was her foundation while raising seven children. Along with care, love, and sacrifice, we consider that she did a Monumental job.

Mom had great adversity and overcame many hurdles. Our family is blessed that she lived long enough to see the results of her success in our character and success, which we passed on to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Today, we celebrate her, and in our hearts, we will all celebrate her for the rest of our lives.

You’ve always been by our side from our beginning to your end. Our Grandmother was our collective matriarch.

She gave light to whatever place she graced. Her steely composure, seemingly equipped for any situation, and perseverance through nine decades on this Earth are a testament to the phenomenal woman.

We all share memories of summer visits and holidays with our Grandma over the years. Whether it was eating Mississippi Farm to table vegetables until we were full or watching black and white sitcoms or old westerns, we were safe and secure in her company. Her mind was always sharp with recollections or recipes from the past, even in recent days and weeks.

Grandma taught us more than she could imagine. She is our reason to continue learning, achieving, and exploring.

We are forever grateful for your love, support, and prayers over the years. Every memory that we have of you will last a lifetime.
